Suicide Prevention Toolbox: British Isles.
Contrary to widespread and popular perception:
The British Isles does not refer solely to the two islands of Great Britain and Ireland
The reality is that the British Isles actually
consists of over 6.000 islands, the largest being Great Britain and Ireland. These two 'mainland'
islands are home to between 60 - 70 million men, women and children. Of which, an unknown percentage will die by suicide and
an even larger percentage will attempt to die by suicide.
In an attempt to reduce the number of suicides this initiative is working to produce suicide prevention
toolboxes. One for each county throughout these lands.
